ISA ENERGIA BRASIL has been a signatory of the Global Compact since 2011, and its commitments are reinforced by the Company's strategy, which focuses on generating sustainable value and responding to the global challenges expressed in the United Nations (UN) 2030 Agenda. The Company seeks to contribute to achieving the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), prioritizing six of them:
SDG 4 Provides resources and knowledge for new generations through the private social investment strategy and the volunteer program. Establishes connections with children and youth in communities to help them complete their educational cycles successfully and supports entrepreneurs to strengthen their business ideas.
SDG 5 We value diversity and inclusion and aim to build a company that represents society in all its multiplicity. We want to develop a welcoming environment where people feel safe to be who they are and to build a legacy from their differences.
Our strategy to leverage this commitment is crowned by the "Other Views" program, which aims to promote discussions and awareness on the topic, focusing on the pillars of gender equity; people with disabilities; LGBTI+ and ethnic-racial issues, as well as intergenerational and multicultural topics intersecting with the other actions of the pillars.
SDG 7SDG 9 Contributes through the transmission of electricity, actively participating in the electricity sector and innovation ecosystems, developing initiatives to create a society with innovative infrastructure that provides well-being and access to reliable and secure energy for the population.
The Company reinforces its commitment to connecting renewable energy through the issuance of green bonds (GreenBonds) to carry out reinforcements, improvements, and investments in new projects.
SDG 13SDG 15 The "Jaguar Connection," one of the Company's sustainability programs, has as its main objectives the conservation of biodiversity, climate change mitigation, and local development. It currently supports one of the regions recognized as a World Natural Heritage Site – Amolar Mountain Range, Pantanal – with the conservation of over 76,000 hectares of preserved areas.
