ISA ENERGIA BRASIL is one of the leading private sector concessionaires in the electric energy transmission business in Brazil. The Company is responsible for transmitting approximately 25% of the energy produced in the country and 60% of the energy consumed in the Southeast region. In 2015, the net operating revenue reached to R$ 1,287.1 million, with EBITDA of R$ 655 million and R$ 517.2 million of net income.
Most of the Company sites are located in the largest economic market in Brazil. ISA ENERGIA BRASIL and its subsidiaries (wholly or partially owned) hold a robust infrastructure with an installed transformation capacity of 55,700 MVA together with transmission lines of 18,500 km, 25,800 km of circuits, 2,347 km of optic fiber cables and 121 substations with voltages up to 550 kV, with 1600 employees.
In order to maintain and improve its quality standards and transmission capacity, the Company has invested around R$ 11 billion in the expansion of the system in the past 10 years. It has also applied value-added technologies in its operating and maintenance activities, ensuring efficiency and quality.
Controlled by ISA, an important ‘multilatina’ company engaged in the supply of linear infrastructure systems, ISA ENERGIA BRASIL also has among its investors, Eletrobras, the largest electric energy group in Brazil, and more than sixty thousand individual and corporate shareholders from different countries. ISA ENERGIA BRASIL’s shares are listed on the BM&FBovespa and since 2002, are traded on the Corporate Governance Level 1 segment.
